One of the game’s community managers took to its forums on June 20th to tell fans that the title would no longer be available in China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Egypt as of July 5th 2018. The Sims: Freeplay has been banned in seven countries due to its non-compliance with "regional standards" in a likely reference to LGBTQ content.
